[WARNING: contains Star Trek 2009 spoilers]

I created this tumblr mostly as an expermient, a writing exercise. Ever since my teens, I’ve dreamed of creating a series much like the one Roddenberry imagined. Elaborate Matte paiting sets with brillaint ships and filled with people and stories that would inspire hope and adventure in its TV viewers.

In recent times the ST Brand has suffered from a lack of true inspiration. Those minds that brought such shows to life are long gone now. And their replacements have yet to inspire any such arc in my mind.

So, without pause to reflect on how things should be or obsessing what could have gone that way. I will for the sake of nailing the last rivet into the coffin of arguments sake; start fresh much like the Trek introduced by Abrams in  2009. Start anew. A CLEAN SLATE but following the time line fracture created within the ‘09 film. 

I may follow non-canon books, I may reference some events from FAFSA RPG’s. I WON’T be applying the Star Trek Online universe.

BACKSTORY:  

THE ORIGIN

The film involves Spock in a one man ship accidentally creating a ‘blackhole’ event causing a rift in the space time continuum. This unfortunately allows a mining vessel from the distant future to come through and destroy Vulcan. This mining vessel along with Future Spocks ‘red matter’ ship is destroyed in a similar black-hole event. 

Future Spocks presence also allows the early invention of certain technological achievements such as Trans Warp. Whats more important is the dramatic effect future Spocks memories will have on the events of this ‘Abrams’ Star Trek reality.

THE BETA QUADRANT

With the knowledge obtained by the events of the future. A mission is set forth, one of secrecy and daring. To find a team and establish an exploratory Star Fleet base of operations at the opposite end of the Beta Quadrant.

Very little is known about the Beta Quadrant in present day.  And it would seem irrelevant to send a group so far into deep space.

But, in the darkness there is a war brewing, with an enemy that threatens all life in the Milky Way.

And Captain Banks is their first choice, to bad he’s nowhere to be found.
